After 2 years in San Diego

I went to see recording of sitcom in LA with my classmates.  We rent a mini van but it consumed gas much more than my Honda civic! It was interesting to see recording. First of all, actors do look shining :) Also every small part, they repeat several times to get the best shoot and sometimes they change lines.  I had problem understanding American jokes but when I heard several times, it was easier to understand later. The audience included drama school students and they were crazy. They even showed talent and every break was like party. Even the comedian was surprised. I liked one actress.  She was so cute.

今日は朝ふとCraiglistで見たイケアの机と椅子を買いに早速Oldtownまで車をとばしました。 中国に帰るカップルで机と椅子以外にもデスクランプやフォーク、スプーン、ナイフ、ランドリーかご、小物ケースをもらって合計６０ドル。いい買い物をしました。 その後ちょっとスタバで勉強して早速引っ越し先のCosta Verdeに運び込みました。２月からの家賃もチェックで払って、ベット代の１５０ドルもこれから出ていくブラジル人女性に払いました。 後は鍵をもらって引っ越すだけです。来週はスキーに行く予定なので２月過ぎに引っ越します。 シェアルームってちょっとドキドキ。うまくやっていけるといいな。 でも駐車場が定められていないみたいで道路際かゲストスペースにとめなければならないそう。ちょっと心配。３人でローテーションできるよって言われたけど見つからなかったらどうするのかしら。でもジムは無料のヨガレッスンがあるみたい！プールもあるし、反対側のアパート群より断然豪華。 その後はCosta Verdeのパーティーに参加。本当は日曜日に教会に行くからって友達に断ったんだけどCosta Verdeのパーティーは興味あり。とにかくブラジル人が多くて人がいっぱい過ぎ。。。ちょっと打ち解けにくい感じだったけどソラーエネジー系の研究者と知り合うことができました。ソラーエネジーには興味があるからパーティーに参加してよかった。 Thanks note 1. I was able to go home with the help of a Japanese guy from party. 2. I was able to meet new people at the party. 3. I was able to get a desk and table and finished moving them. Big off-load for me!

今日は運転テストを受けました。なんと日本ではペーパーだったのに一発合格です！！！ 10個のマイナーミスがありましたがなんとか合格（16個までOK）！ 試験官もやさしいアジア系の男性でものすごく運がよかったです。 運転講習も６時間受けといてよかった。学校はここ　 Golden State Driving School 最初はパーミットがなくて門前払いされたけど筆記試験受けてパーミットを取得してからの先生はブラジル出身のタニア。とてもいい人でした。 試験の流れがわかるし試験でチェックされるところ教えてくれます。先生に言われてたことと同じこと試験管に指摘されました。 DMVへの試験予約も電話でいれてくれて親切。受けるときは８時台の早朝がベスト。 でも最初にDMV前の列に並んでいた時にこれに記入しろだの、I-94をもってこいだの言われて慌てて家に帰ってI-94持ってきたのに筆記試験と間違われていたみたいで「何でこれに記入してるの」と言われ、また慌てて運転テストの窓口30へ。前に並ぶ必要もなかったのね。。。 本当にDMVのスタッフはちょっといい加減です。でも一発で合格して本当によかった。一か月ずっとストレス気味でした。前日にYoutubeで試験模様を研究したのもよかった。交差点では思いっきり首を動かしてチェックしているのを強調するの。 昨日はカロルとバスパーティーに参加する予定だったのになんとカロルが車のキーを車の中に忘れて鍵を閉めちゃって大変。。。でも近くにいた人に助けを求めるとなんと電話してカーサービスを呼んでくれたの。そこはとってもラッキーだったんだけど、バスパーティーには間に合わなかったわ。でもまた参加する機会はたくさんあるから大丈夫。カロルはキス事件で国にいる彼と喧嘩してストレス気味みたい。でも本当にトラブルメーカーだわ。。。。 Today I passed DMV behind the wheel test! Today my class was canceled because the teacher was sick.  I felt OMG I have too much time because I just had MLK holiday on Monday.  So I asked my friend for dinner. But actually it turned out to be a quite busy day. In the morning, I had to go car dealer to get my timing belts fixed, which was not fixed last time because the mechanic didn't show up on hat day!! Then, I tried to install Microsoft Office 2010 because I bought a Product Key from Amazon. However, I failed installation so many times that I spent 5 hours trying figure out.  I was getting really nervous and irritated. But, finally I got chat and telephone support. The Indian guy at the end took remote control of my computer and installed it with new product key. Wow, it was amazing experience. Now, I'm a bit more royal to Microsoft. Then, around 9, I went to see my friends at Thai restaurant. Since I had dinner at host house, I just took papaya salad (Som Tam) but it was really delic...

Today I tried surfing for the first time!   I was afraid of cold sea water but actually it was kind of fun to ride a wave.   I could only stand up when it got slower near the beach.   But waves got much bigger later and it was not good for bigginer like us!   Anyway, it was fnu!!!           ついに2月からは大学の近くの素敵なアパートでルームシェアしま す。 2月19日まで現在のホストファミリーに家賃を払わならないので 来てくれる人を探していますが見つかりそうもありません。代理店と一か月以上の契約を結ぶのは気をつけて下さい。ビジネス目的のホストファミリーに当たってしまったときは大変です。 ルームメイトはインドネシア人女性で10年近くこちらに住んでお り大学でファイナンシャルアナリストの仕事をしています。 大学で仕事を見つけるのは大変で1年半待ったそうです。 ですからかなり頭のいい人だと思います。 経済専攻ですので話も合いそうです。 アパートは豪華なタワーでプールやジム、 無料のコーヒーやビジネスセンターがあります！ 多くの留学生が住んでおりパーティーも盛んにおこなわれているの で友達もたくさんできそうです。   こないだは初めてサーフィンにトライしました。 新学期が始まり2週目が終わりましたがとても忙しいです。   Thanks note I was able to enjoy intersting sports with my friends. Yesterday I went to see the house with Italian ceff. The room looked a bit dark but it's got great wooden desk to study. Most of all, it is friend's friend, so good relationship can be expected and flexible. But I still want to stay near university and want to have nice roommate. Let's search more!   Then I went to trial lesson of Hot Yoga with my friend. It was nice but it was quite high level class. I've got 10 days lesson but I'm a bit busy to see all those room options, so I may not be able to go there so often within this 10 days. shame.   Then, I had dinner with my friend and went to club.   昨日はアメリカ人の知り合いカロリンにイタリア人シェフが住んでいる家の部屋を見せてもらいました。一人部屋で650は本当安いですがちょっと部屋が暗く、家がタバコくさかったです。娘さんが他の部屋に住んでいるとのことで彼女と仲良くなれるととってもいいのですがバーガーショップでアルバイトしているとのことで会うことはできませんでした。 そのかわり彼氏さんがいました。シェフの職業柄いろいろ食べさせてくれるし車も整備できるとのことでかなりいいところですが、やはり大学近くのルームシェアももう少し見に行きます。その後カロリンとパートナーのジェフと寿司を食べに行きました。   5時からはホットヨガのトライアルレッスンを友達と受けました。ちょっと上級コースだったので疲れました。10日間フリーですのでできるだけ行き...
