Trip to my bf's hometown in Italy, 1st day

I went to Pordenone (north Italy) for 10 days to spend time with my Italian bf for the end of year. The trip turned out to be very inspiring.

My bf and I live in Japan, but he always goes back to his hometown for this time of season.
This year, I decided to go to see him while his stay at his house in Italy so that I can travel in Italy and meet his relatives!

While I was flying to Venice from Tokyo, I had transit at Rome. I was surprised that there were not so many signs posted. I arrived quite late and I almost lost my way. Thank God,  there was one worker who could tell me the way.

Around the sky over Venice, there were 3 strange cloud-like stuff illuminated with orange expressway lights. I thought about heavy snow, but that was fog!!! It was heaviest fog I've ever seen. The Landing was the most rough I've ever experienced.

Not only my bf but also his father was waiting. He was worried about driving in fog.
I talked with my limited Italian skills, but it was quite enough to communicate! He asked me what I like to eat for breakfast. I said yogurt, so he took me to a small milk product shop of his friend. How beautiful! A vending machine for yogurts with many flavors available! There were also cheese.

It was already around midnight. I arrived at his house and met his mother. His house was full of antique objects. I offered several souvenirs and then we all went to bed.

Although I was so tired with long flight, I couldn't sleep after 4 a.m.
